He graduated in Architecture from the Politecnico di Milano in 1965 and co-founded Luceplan with Riccardo Sarfatti in 1978, gaining recognition for innovative lighting solutions that blend functionality with artistry.

Rizzatto has collaborated with esteemed brands like Alias, Flos, Cassina, and Kartell, creating elegant and inventive designs. His work is featured in prestigious institutions, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

A respected educator, he has lectured at notable universities such as Columbia University and the Politecnico di Milano.
