Richard Hutten, born in 1967 in the Netherlands, is a distinguished designer renowned for his innovative approach to product and interior design. A graduate of The Design Academy Eindhoven in 1991, Hutten founded his design studio the same year, establishing himself as a pivotal figure in the design world.

As a founding member of Droog Design, a groundbreaking Dutch collective launched in 1993, Hutten played a significant role in transforming contemporary design. Today, he stands as one of the most influential designers in the Netherlands, celebrated for his conceptual yet playful creations. One of his signature pieces, the Dombo mug, has achieved remarkable success, selling over one million units globally.

Hutten collaborates with numerous prestigious clients, including industry leaders such as Moooi, Moroso, Offecct, Skultuna, Muji, Artifort, and Gispen. His work is represented in over 40 renowned museums worldwide, including the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, and the Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein.
